A source said that Tameshwar ‘Rambo’ Khemraj, 27, apparently had some old problems with one of the two brothers accused in the murder of a Corentyne businessman.
According to the source, the problem escalated early Saturday morning and resulted in Khemraj being attacked with a “jukka” some time between 6 am and 7 am,
Khemraj was accused of robbing Ramlingum ‘Buddy’ Mangalie of $10 million on April 9 at Rose Hall. Another accused, Davendra ‘Bara’ Harricharran, 28, of Nigg, Corentyne and three other prisoners were chopped and doused with acid around 5.30 pm on May 23.
Deodat was shot dead during an armed robbery at his home in October last year and the brothers Ramnarine and Neshan Jagmohan were charged with his murder. It is not clear which one of the brothers committed the offence at the prison.
Ramnarine, 27, a farmer, of Belvedere Squatting Area and Neshan, 23, a cane harvester of Hampshire Squatting Area were in the company of another accomplice when they reportedly murdered the businessman.
